Purley Sports Club hosts a Short Mat Club organised by Purley Bowls Club members.

The short mat club is open to all Purley Sports Club members not just Bowls club members. Short mat bowls is played indoors and is a great way to spend time enjoying a sport over the winter.

Purley Sports Club host Short mat in the Cowen Suite Dining Room (terrace room) from Autumn through to Spring. We have two mats which are rolled out side by side along the length of the room. We play with normal outdoor bowls. For non bowlers the bowls section can lend bowls on each day that they are needed for short mat.

Short mat is a great way of keeping in touch with your bowls friends during the winter. It’s a very sociable game played for fun so come and give it a go.
