Purley Sports Club has installed a state of the art defibrillator in the corridor outside the club gym. It's located in a white, glass fronted cabinet opposite the Sports Club gym door, to the right of the disabled toilet. The case is NOT locked - the defibrillator is instantly accessible!
The defibrillator is available for anyone to use in an emergency, if a member or visitor loses consciousness and stops breathing, anywhere on or outside the club site.
The defibrillator does not require any specialist knowledge. It is safe for anyone to use! Just follow the sequence of instructions broadcast by the defibrillator's inbuilt speakers.
When connected to the unconscious patient, the defibrillator looks for a pulse and announces whether or not a shock is advised. If no shock is advised, there is no way the defibrillator will deliver a shock, even if you press the orange start button!
