SINGLES CUP & PLATE COMPETITIONS 2026
The Singles Cup and Singles Plate competitions will be commencing early January with the finals being played on Tuesday 1st April. The competition involves playing in 3 preliminary rounds before the Quarter Final knockout stages. Ideally, we need 16 competitors for the competition. The competition is not just for the experienced bowlers – after the Group stages (see below) the players in the top half will play for the Cup and the remaining players will play in the Plate competition. Information about the Singles competition is given below.
Please note that:
- The competition will play mainly on Tuesdays.
- The cost of entry is £16, with £10 prizes for the winners and runners-up for both Cup and Plate.
- Every entrant will be play once in each of the 3 Group Stages and the Quarter finals.
- Markers will be assigned for each match.
- The Select Pairs competition also plays on Tuesdays, so participants in both may be required to play twice in one day.
The timetable cannot be confirmed until the number of competitors is finalised; the table below gives the approximate schedule.
